Where one treads or speaking the current phrase, leaves a carbon footprint, may matter.  Closer scrutiny of what I can do in my Art to reduce waste, involves several friends, neighbors and buddies. They provide me with beer and wine bottles.  Collectively, they enhance the meager number of bottles I usually have to work with.  Cutting beer, wine and window glass and fusing them to create “Art de objects” is my latest fascination.

Have you ever visualized an author’s words.  Well, local author Monica Zarazua accepted my idea of interpreting a few lines of narrative from her book of short stories “Slide”  There are 8 Artists, Trevor Parham, Christine Balza, Xiomara Castro, Jon Fischer, Samantha Chundur, Jamie Treacy, Nicole Dixon, and me,  creating Art based on Ms. Zarazua’s visually imaginative stories.  The transformation of a woman’s feet into plant life easily can be conveyed with the lively greens of wine bottles.  Beer bottles are aptly reconfigured into vines. These are achieved with a kiln.  Color glass is stunning to see transformed.  So in turn, please allow time to view an exhibit of all our results within the Joyce Gordon Gallery.

There will be video, ancient Filipino script,  Acrylic paintings/Cut paper, wire sculptures, multi media art, photography, mixed media and my Fused glass.

There's the need to stay focused, organized and deliberate, to enhance connections, community and personal projects and remain healthy in every possible way! I enjoy framing items, painting portraits, fabricating fused glass objects, projecting a positive public persona all told, giving people the best I have to offer. Sharing my talents by tutoring youth & adults and counseling visual Artists, uplifts me as well. I very much like and reference Classic & Contemporary Arts of a multitude of cultures. Here's to self care and care for others!
